PASSIVE
SENTENSES
Passive Voice (passive voice) is a sentence
in English Indonesia
uses the verb prefix
"in" (called, written, sale and
so on). Passive Voice
will never be separated from the material meupun daily
conversation in books bacaan.Passive voice is
a grammatical construction
(grammatical forms) where the subject of the
sentence is not to take action,
but rather accept the action or follow-up
(receiver of action)
by another agent
(DOER of action)
both mentioned or
not. In contrast, the active construction,
subject directly related to the verb to act as agents of action. Active
sentence can be transformed into
passive, but only
transitive verb (followed
by direct object) that can be enforced so. Passive voice verbs are used in
writing much more often than in speech, and they are used in some types of
writing much more often than in others. Passives are used more in journalism
(newspapers, magazines) than in fiction (novels, stories), but most journalists
and fiction writers use far more active than passive sentences. However,
passives are very common in all types of scientific and technical writing.
Scientific articles often contain more passive than active sentences. You
should not use passive voice verbs unless you have a good reason.
The passive of an active tense is formed by
putting the verb to be into the
same tense as the active verb and adding the past participle of the active
verb. The subject of the active verb becomes the ‘agent’ of the passive verb.
The agent is very often not mentioned. When it is mentioned it is preceded by by and placed at the end of the
clause.
The
rules of Passive Voice) adalah :
1. The
sentence must have oject (transitive verb). It must have question word which asks
object.
2. Object
in active will be subject in passive.
3. Subject in active will be object in passive.
4. We
must use past participle (verb-III).
5. The arrange of sentence depends on tenses.
